Plain-English summary: Register an account, browse auctions, place real bids — winning bids are binding. You're responsible for paying for and picking up what you win. We connect buyers and sellers; we don't own or warrant the items being auctioned.

1. Who These Terms Bind

These Terms govern your use of AuctionGera ("we," "us"). By creating an account, listing an item, or placing a bid, you ("you," "User") agree to these Terms.

2. The Service

AuctionGera is an online auction platform connecting sellers (currently focused on sheds, barns, and rural goods) with bidders. We provide:

User registration and authentication
Auction listing and browsing tools
Bidding mechanics and notifications
Optional payment coordination via integrated providers

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering binding contracts to use AuctionGera. By registering, you confirm both.

4. Bidding — How It Works

Bids are binding offers. The highest bid at auction close wins, subject to any reserve.
You may not retract a bid once placed except in cases of obvious clerical error reported immediately to us.
If you win, you agree to pay the winning amount plus any applicable fees, taxes, or shipping/pickup costs.
Failure to pay or pick up may result in account suspension and forfeiture of any deposits.

5. Listings — For Sellers

You must own or be authorized to sell the item you list.
Listings must be accurate. Misrepresentation may result in listing removal and account suspension.
You agree to honor the winning bid and complete the transaction in good faith.

6. Fees

Listing fees, commission rates, and payment processing fees are disclosed on each listing or in your account dashboard. Fees may change with notice; current fees apply to listings created after the change.

7. Account Conduct

You agree not to:

Place bids you do not intend to honor (shill bidding, fake accounts, retraction abuse)
List stolen, counterfeit, or illegal items
Manipulate auctions through coordination, sniping bots beyond reasonable use, or platform exploits
Harass, threaten, or abuse staff, sellers, or other bidders
Circumvent the platform to complete transactions outside AuctionGera once introduced via the platform

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations.

8. Our Role

AuctionGera is a venue. We are not a party to transactions between buyers and sellers. We do not warrant the condition, authenticity, ownership, or fitness of any item listed. We are not responsible for failed pickups, misrepresented items, or disputes between users — though we will assist in good faith and may suspend bad actors.

9. Communications

By creating an account, you agree to receive transactional emails (bid confirmations, outbid notices, win notifications, account security). Marketing emails are sent only with your separate opt-in. Unsubscribe anytime via the link in any email or via our Opt-Out page.

10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) $100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or items not picked up.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which AuctionGera is registered. Disputes will be resolved in that jurisdiction.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "Last updated" date and, where required, by email or in-app notice.
